Frequently asked questions

My alarm didn't go off, how do I make it reliable?

ScanRise needs a few permissions to wake you reliably. Please check:

Where do I find the plans / how do I unlock ScanRise?

Open ScanRise and tap the banner near the top of the home screen that reads "Free trial · tap to unlock" (or "Your free trial has ended · tap to unlock"). That opens the purchase screen with the Monthly, Yearly and Lifetime options.

How do I restore a purchase on a new phone?

Open the purchase screen (see above) and tap Restore purchases. Your ScanRise membership is tied to your Apple ID, so it restores automatically once you're signed in to the same Apple ID.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are billed through Apple. To view, change or cancel: iOS Settings → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → ScanRise. The Lifetime option is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.

How does the free trial work?

ScanRise is free to download and gives you 7 days of full access from first launch, no card required. After that, choose a plan to keep going, or the app moves to the purchase screen.

Can I use my own song as the alarm?

Yes. In ScanRise open Settings → Alarm sound and choose A file or A song. Anything in your own music library that is downloaded to the device will play.

Tracks streamed from Apple Music, Spotify or any other subscription service cannot be used. Those files are protected by DRM and the service will not allow another app to play them, so they do not appear in the picker. This is an Apple and label restriction, not a ScanRise limitation, and it applies to every alarm app on iOS. If you own the track as a file, or you have purchased it from the iTunes Store, it will work.

What about my privacy and data?

Your alarms, wellness entries and settings stay on your device. See our Privacy Policy for full detail.
